It’s that time of the year, the East Carson River is turning prime!  Flows are in the 300′s and the wading is getting easier day by day.  Stonefly husks are everywhere, Caddis are starting to pop as well as PMD’s, Yellow Sallies and a few large Mayfly Drakes as well.  The evening hatch has been great!  Streamers are still fooling a few fish during the day but Stonefly Nymphs, Caddis Nymphs and Little Yellow Sally Nymphs have been the most successful.  The West Carson River is prime and has been for a few weeks now.   Corey has had a few guide trips on the West Carson Riverthat have caught fish all day long on dries, not big fish but a lot of action!  Fish with Yellow Sallies, Humpies, Small Stimulators and Beetles!   The Stillwater fishing has slowed a bit but can still be good early in the day and evenings.  Look for Calibaetis, Damsels and a few Blood Midges late in the day.  Red Lake, Caples and Indian Creek are worth a fish!  Call the fly shop for further details and have a great day of fishing!
