Sawmill Pond Kids’ Fishing Day June 7th, 2008

Lots of prizes for the kids!

What a success!  There were tons of kids and we all had a great time.  Most of my guides showed up to volunteer their time and fishing expertise and the kids really enjoyed their help!  There are plenty of fish left in the pond and if you want to get your kid into fishing, this is the place to do it!  Sawmill Pond has been a kids 14 years and under fishery for many years now and is only one of two ponds of its’ kind in the state of California!  Great place to get a kid hooked on fly fishing, just throw a PT Nymph under an indicator and make sure they are hanging on!  2.5 miles past the “Y” intersection going West and you can’t miss the pond!  Have fun!
