Guide's Blog and Fishing Reports

private waters?

I had the privilege to guide and fish for three days on the Sceirine ranch, which is a 2.5 mile private section of the East Walker River. My client and I, Joe Hagler from southern California had a wonderful day with many fish hooked and landed on nymphs and streamers. The trout were all big and strong running 17″ to 21″. The scenery was beautiful and the pressure was zero, well worth the $80 full day┬árod fee and $50 for a half day. Contact Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters for information on guided trip to “The Ranch” or any other of our private waters including, Pleasant Valley and Sawmill Lake. I would like to give special thanks to Scott Freeman at Ken’s Sporting Goods in Bridgeport, home of the Sceirine Ranch.
