Had a few days of recently and spent some time exploring some areas around the Sierra. Guide Brenden Burnside managed to land a nice rainbow on a rare day off.  I spent a day stalking carp and finally  managed to land one. Also spent a nice  day on he Truckee below Hirschdale with fellow guide Peter Santley. Even with the warm daytime temps the water stayed nice and cool and the fish were hungry. Peter managed to land this healthy brown on a size 14 tan fox’s poopah. Gotta love fishing in the Eastern Sierra!
