Guide’s Day Off on the Lower Truckee

Paul and Dan hit the water to find good water conditions and cooperative fish.  “Trickee” continues to be highly technical water with dead drifts absolutely essential.  Little dry fly action…dark stonefly  and yellow poxybacks nymphs (size 10 and 12) most action (load up the split-shot)…streamers on sink tip limited results.  Floaters note:  be considered of others and don’t sit on the water…noted one raft party pounding a run for almost two hours while two more groups waiting upstream.
