ICE FISHING THE TAHOE AREA!

Filed under: General Topics,Lake Reports — Peter at 12:08 pm on Thursday, January 6, 2011

It’s time to go ice fishing around the Lake Tahoe area!Red Lake and Caples Lake are fishing well, both jigs and bait are producing good catches of trout.Ice fishing can be fun for all ages.Be prepared for cold weather and wear layers and waterproof snow boots, hat and gloves. My favorite time is mid morning to early afternoon on the nicer days.If you have not been ice fishing before you should try it.Take a half day guide trip with one of our guides,we have the gear you just bundle up.Always use caution and be aware of current ice conditions and any warnings. We have gear for sale in the shop including augers, rods and needed tackle and bait.Come out and let us show you some winter fun.

Good fishing!
