Trinity River steelhead fishing remains good for those making the effort. With above average air and water temperatures fishing has been good on indicator rigs. Fish have been eating various stonefly and may fly patterns. Strong fresh winter run steelhead have been bending hooks and breaking lines to get there freedom as steelhead due sometimes. Cool mornings and mild days have been fishing well right until dark. We have been hooking steelhead everyday as of late with multiple chances each day to connect with one of these great fighters. In addition to steelhead we have also been catching some nice brown trout. The warmer afternoons have had some good mayfly hatches, bringing some browns to the surface. The little bit of rain we had last week brought more fresh fish in the lower river and will keep us in fish for coming weeks. I will be on the river this week and have some openings, 1/24, 1/25 , and 1/27. To book a trip call or text Peter at (530) 318-7073 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. I have plenty of dates available in January, February, and early March. Don’t miss out on a great adventure on the Trinity River.
Come out and play!
