It has certainly felt more like July than June the last few days up here. With lots of cold bottom release water on the Little Truckee and frosty snow melt on the Big Truckee wet wading hasn’t quite kicked off yet unless you are part polar bear that is. The temps look to drop about ten degrees or so next week and it should be game on!
As far as our rivers go the West Carson is still high and cold but more than fishable. The East is hopefully going to start coming into shape in the next few weeks (I can’t wait!). I have watched flows on the East Walker for months now and i really don’t know when to expect it to drop but I’ll be there when it does. Up here on north shore is still the ticket it seems. Stillwaters are firing rite now and the Big and Little T have tons of bugs. Pmds, drakes, and ants will get a few heads poking. It’s gonna be quite the summer up here with all this water! Get up here and fish!
See you on the water-Jay
