THE FISHING
3 Days focused fishing some of Northern California’s best trout waters focusing on advanced techniques and best practices taught by the guides who focus their time and passion on these rivers - McCloud River, Hat Creek, Lower Sacramento River.
-
THE CAMP
The McCloud River Outpost sits along Squaw Valley Creek just minutes away from the McCloud River. Camp is fully outfitted by our guide staff and equipped with 2-person canvas wall tents, bathroom/shower facilities, horseshoe pit, walking trails, and more.
-
THE INSTRUCTION
Anglers will focus on a different river each day and learn advanced techniques to master each trout stream. Around camp your guides and guest speakers will share best-practices and years of knowledge and experience on trout streams around the world.
-
The McCloud River
The mighty McCloud hardly needs introduction. Trout anglers are drawn to it and dream of wrangling one of its big browns or wild acrobatic rainbows. From technical dry fly presentations to productive streamer and nymphing, this river can stretch your knowledge and ability with a fly rod.
-
Hat Creek
Northern California’s most revered Spring creek, Hat Creek is home to one of the more picturesque settings to catch wild trout. Stealth and accuracy to create a well placed drift requires practice and Hat Creek affords anglers the opportunity to grow your skills with a solid plan and well-timed mends.
-
Lower Sacramento River
Big. Wild. Rainbows. And plenty of them. Northern California’s most consistent trout river allows ample opportunity to fight big strong fish. Your guides have decades of experience rowing this river and you’re sure to gain valuable time in the boat. You have to fight fish to get better at fighting fish - this is the place.

The campsite accommodations are rustic and ready for your camping goods. We have available 2 Denver Colorado Wall Tents each with 2 twin beds, charging station, gear bench and lantern.
