    Take a panoramic gondola ride up to the Heavenly Mountain Resort. Jump in an off-road vehicle for a trail ride up the mountain to your own private East Peak Lake.

    Our guides for the clinic are skilled in stillwater and river fly fishing and are ready to share their knowledge on casting, knots, entomology and their overall passion for fly fishing.

  • East Carson River

    A fun section of the East Carson River in Alpine County is full of features to learn new dry fly and nymphing techniques and practice techniques to take on your own.

2 Days of Instruction & Guided Fly Fishing

The 2026 Women’s Fall Clinic is the perfect clinic for those looking to learn and develop their skills with a fly rod in a fun, fishy and positive environment.

Saturday, September 19th: (8AM - 4PM)

Join your guide on a private gondola ride up the mountain to beautiful East Peak Lake to chase big rainbow trout on a private lake.

Morning Session: Basic Fly Casting, Equipment, Entomology, Knot Tying, Rigging, and more.

Afternoon Session: Guided Stillwater Fly Fishing

Sunday, September 20th: (8AM - 4PM)

All day on the East Carson River focusing on reading water, river techniques and advanced instruction.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Comfortable clothing for the weather.

  • Layering - plan for the weather. Tights, or lounge sweats are great for under waders. Wool socks are the go-to but your average ski sock will work great.

  • Pack a rain jacket just in case

  • Small backpack, sling, or waste pack

  • Any fishing equipment you’d like to use or learn

  • Sunglasses, Sunscreen, and Sun Protection

  • Waders, Wading Boots (let us know in advance if you need waders and/or boots)

  • Fly Rod (5wt or 6wt), Fly Fishing Accessories, Tippett, Leader, Flies

Cancellation Policy

100% of payment due at time of booking. Cancellations requested within 14 Days from start date of the retreat will receive a 50% refund on the booking. Cancellations requested within 7 Days of the trip will not receive a refund on their booking.
