Wylder Resort’s campsites are situated along the West Carson River with beautiful views of the valley and Eastern Sierra. Campout, enjoy fireside talks, and enjoy the best of Hope Valley.

Fish.
Fishing is best enjoyed with friends and with the knowledge and gear to give you the best shots at fish. We’ll have 2 days of guided fishing and instruction on the river and around camp.

Camp needs to have some cozy eats. Wake up to Coffee & Pastries around the campfire and enjoy the best of Sorensen’s Cafe with a welcome cocktail hour and a cozy fireside dinner on Saturday night.

Summer in the Sierra - Wildflowers are popping, the river is in good shape, and the fish are waking up. The 2023 Women’s Summer Campout is the perfect clinic for those looking to learn and develop their skills with a fly rod in a fun, positive environment.
The campsites at Wylder Resort in Hope Valley are surrounded by breathtaking beauty at 7,000 feet elevation. The West Carson River flows just steps away from the campsite where most of the workshop instruction will take place.

Sorensen’s Cafe: Full Bar & Restaurant located at the resort center - just a short trail walk from the campsites
Wylder General Store: Next to the campsites, the store as general provisions for camp including wine, pastries, and gear
Cell Service: The resort has cell service for all carriers

1/2 Day Guided Fly Fishing Instruction
Workshops: Introduction to Fly Fishing, Casting, Knots, Entomology, Techniques

Saturday morning coffee, tea and pastries at campsite
Saturday lunch from Yellow Sub Sandwiches in South Lake Tahoe.

WHAT TO BRING:
4-person tent or smaller (If you need a tent to rent, we have some options)
Car Camping Essentials: Sleep System; Pillow, Clothing & Outerwear, Snacks, Headlamp or Lantern
Chair or cushion
Reusable water bottle - we try to avoid single use plastics
Layering - plan for the weather. Tights, or lounge sweats are great for under waders. Wool socks are the go-to but your average ski sock will work great.
Small backpack, sling, or waste pack
Any fishing equipment you’d like to use or learn

Cancellation Policy:
100% of payment due at time of booking. Cancellations requested within 60 Days from start date of the retreat will receive a 50% refund on the booking. Cancellations requested within 30 Days of the trip will not receive a refund on their booking.
